Look To The Child

A game, a secret, a new fun thing,
a new way to love, a new way to play;
twisting the truth, telling your lies,
never seeing past your own evil desires.

Taking the good, taking the pure,
taking all of their innocence and making it yours;
destroying all of their trust, all of their dreams,
never you see beyond what you need.

For a moment of pleasure, a moment of power,
a downward journey to the dark of your soul;
what do you gain, what do you feel,
as you plunge an innocent into the fire of your hell.

Take what you will, discard what you want,
no moral boundary that cannot be crossed;
yours for the taking, your needs they provide,
nothing too dark, no want unsupplied.

Plunged into hell, no choice of their own,
do you ever see beyond your own selfish soul;
look to the innocent, look to the child,
look to the betrayal and pain in their eyes.

For the heaven that's yours whenever you want,
is the torture and hell they cannot escape;
a moment of pleasure, a moment of power, -
a lifetime of suffering, a lifetime of shame.
