Father's Touch
By Donald D'Haene
I've had an opportunity to read 'Father's Touch' by Donald D'Haene. As a survivor of sexual abuse, Mr. D'Haene wrote a memoir about his life in rural Ontario (Aylmer), his experiences with faith (as a Jehovah's Witness), and more than a decade of his, and his sibling's sexual and emotional abuse at the hands of his religious molester. On his website, you can sample Chapter One, read numerous reviews of 'Father's Touch', by such notables as Mike Lew (Victims No Longer, Leaping Upon the Mountains), Peter Desbarats, and Richard Hoffman, (Half the House) and many others - who are much more eloquent than I. I just revisted the site, and noticed Mr. D'Haene posted a letter from his molester! It gave me the willys reading the words from a religious zealot, and provides a glimpse into the mind of a serial paedophile.
