Ghosts in the Bedroom

This book is a small, inexpensive guide to tell partners of incest or sexual abuse survivors how to approach helping their partner. It tells them in very plain language what to expect, why survivors act that way, and how to handle situations. The "Ghosts" refer to the terrible time most survivors have with intimacy or sexual situation, this time, is when they often disassociate or have flashbacks. It explains to the partner that it's not that they don't want a relationship, and not that they're trying to sabotage it, they have symptoms often of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, or anxiety disorders, that need to be dealt with. And that it's going to take time and a lot of patience to bring their partner through this healing time.
